Dear Colleagues:

February is Black History Month so this edition of Nursing ConnectionsTM is dedicated to black nurses past and present.

     Donna's Book Pix:
The Path We Tread: Blacks in Nursing Worldwide 1854-1994, 3rd Ed.
by M. Elizabeth Carnegie, DPA, RN, FAAN

This is the third edition of the award-winning resource that examines over 140 years of black nurses' contributions to the field. This new edition, expanded and international in scope, looks at black nurses' involvement as leaders, innovators, and caregivers in Africa, the Carribean, and across the globe. Explore black nurses' involvement in the military, nursing education at historically black institutions, the struggle for black nurses to be recognized by national nursing organizations, and early leaders who paved the way for black nurses today.
