Cardillo
is Keynote Speaker at American Nurses Association Convention
Donna
Cardillo, RN, MA was the closing keynote speaker at the
American Nurses Association 2002 Biennial Convention. Approximately
1,500 attended the convention, held in Philadelphia in July.
Ms. Cardillo delivered a rousing presentation entitled “Success
is a Journey Not a Destination.” The program, one
of Cardillo’s most popular, provides strategies for
creating professional momentum in order to move in a positive
forward direction, even if you’re not sure where you’re
headed. “We often get stuck in a rut and don’t
move forward because of self-doubt, imagined obstacles,
or fear of change” says Cardillo. She was also on
hand to do a book signing for her best selling book “Your
First Year as a Nurse” from Crown Publishing, a division
of Random House.
Ms.
Cardillo is president of Cardillo & Associates, Professional
Development Seminars located in Sea Girt, NJ. She is a columnist
for Nursing Spectrum, a Gannett company, where she is known
as “Dear Donna.” Donna is the country’s
leading expert on non-traditional career opportunities for
nurses and has been referred to as the “guru of career
development for nurses.”
The
American Nurses Association (ANA) represents the country’s
nearly 2.7 million Registered Nurses. To learn more about
