Cardillo is Elected President of Monmouth Chapter of New
Jersey Association of Women Business Owners
Donna
Cardillo, RN, of Wall Township, NJ has been elected President
of the Monmouth Chapter of the New Jersey Association of
Women Business Owners (NJAWBO). NJAWBO is the state-wide
chapter of the National Association of Women Business Owners
(NAWBO).
"Women-owned
businesses are the fastest growing segment of the economy,"
says Cardillo. "We are growing at twice the rate of
our male counterparts." Women in Monmouth county own
public relations firms, computer consulting businesses,
are general contractors, graphic artists, bookkeepers and
accountants just to name a few. These businesses range from
sole proprietorships to large manufacturing plants. Cardillo
owns Cardillo & Associates, Professional Development
Seminars, located in Wall, NJ.
Women
bring a unique perspective to business. Cardillo states,
"We are big on customer service, know how to listen,
and deliver the goods with a personal touch." She adds,
"My goals as chapter president are to strengthen our
relationship with local and state politicians, to develop
closer ties with community organizations and the media,
and to increase networking opportunities for our members."
NJAWBO
is a statewide organization addressing the needs of 220,000
women business owners in New Jersey. NJAWBO’s objectives
are to support ownership of business by women; provide a
voice for them in local, state and federal legislative bodies;
provide training and assistance; and increase the visibility
of women business owners through participation in the business
community. NJAWBO has 15 chapters throughout the state and
